PD3 Perpendicular Detector

If you need to achieve absolute vertical alignment in critical situations, the PD3 is for you. With telescopes for upward and downward plummeting, the PD3 is especially important for:

Plummeting transfer of base point to the upper story of the framework of a building
Determination of plummeting alignment in underground surveying
Setting up a signal target from a triangulation point
Determining and checking perpendicularity in multi-story buildings, iron towers, elevator shafts, chimneys, and ship-building

Two telescopes are conveniently positioned one above the other for upward and downward plummeting. The vertical axis of the PD3 and the axes of the telescopes correspond in order to eliminate plummeting errors when rotating the instrument during observation.

The precision plate levels (20” / 2mm) ensure perpendicularity of the vertical axis. A pair of plate levels positioned at a right angle let you quickly level the PD3 with any two of the three leveling screws.
