SOLO CE is an easy to use GIS/mapping software application that allows you customize data collection forms and gather position data on a handheld computer. 

Intuitive and simple to operate, SOLO is fast and accurate, whether you are collecting GIS data for the first time, or updating and improving your existing database.

SOLO CE System Requirements:

• Windows CE V2.11 or later

• Minimum grayscale or color touch screen 340x240 (or 240x320) screen resolution

• One serial port for connection to peripheral device (GPS/Laser)

• 16Mb RAM

GPS Receiver Requirements:

• Any GPS that can output coordinate information via NMEA. (Most manufacturers support this industry-standard protocol)

• develop data collection templates in the office or in the field—another time saver
• export data directly from the data collector in standard formats such as ESRI Shapefile, AutoCAD DXF or ASCII text without any post-processing or conversions—more time saved.
• easily generate data collection forms from existing databases and customize them for easier data entry. 
• edit your existing basemap data in the field
• gather position data via GPS or a laser rangefinder, or by selection a position on your basemap.

• 486Mhz or higher processor
• for communication with your data collector, you will need an available serial (COM) port or USB port that is not being used by any other devices.

SOLO Office is the desktop companion for the SOLO CE GPS/GIS mapping software. 

SOLO Office provides Windows-based project generation and management tools that can be used by project managers and field users alike.

Fieldnotes 32 is a robust, configurable field data collection and mapping software.  Fieldnotes 32 allows the user to quickly build custom applications using simple drag-n-drop procedures. Custom forms are easily created without programming using Forms Builder 32, which comes with Fieldnotes 32.  An optional GPS module is available to use with Fieldnotes 32.
