SOLO Hardware
Hardware: GPS Receivers and Antennae
SOLO CE works with any GPS receiver that outputs in NMEA.
The accuracy of the GPS position is dependent upon the receiver selected and the presence of a correction source. Uncorrected GPS positions are typically accurate to within 1-10 meters. Differentially corrected GPS positions (DGPS) usually fall within one of two accuracy classes, 1-5 meters and sub-meter. RTK GPS positions may be as accurate as 1-2cm.
For a full system solution, TDS GIS Solutions provides a variety of GPS receivers including submeter and 1-5 meter systems for use with SOLO CE.
For real time submeter accuracy:
Starlink Invicta 210S GPS/Beacon/Satellite receiver with your choice of range pole or utility belt configurations.
The Starlink Invicta 210S gives the user a choice of differential correction services and provides reliable tracking of USCG, Canadian, or IALA beacon signals automatically. Satellite differential correction is also available using the OmniSTAR subscription-based service. A front panel display provides the user easy access to menu screens for configuring the receiver and displaying vital satellite and system performance information.
Starlink Invicta 210 GPS/Beacon receiver combines a high performance GPS receiver and a dual channel beacon receiver with superior impulse noise performance. A front panel display provides the user easy access to menu screens for configuring the receiver and displaying vital satellite and system performance information. For 1-5 meter accuracy:
TDS WAASP GPS receiver generates accurate position updates using the WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System). The WAAS signals are broadcast from satellites and are available without a subscription fee. The WAASP provides 2 meter RMS accuracy 24 hours a day.
Size: 3.9" high by 2.7" in diameter (very small). 12 GPS channels. Ideal for applications such as GIS, agricultural position logging (yield monitors) and basic location finding.Garmin 17N GPS/WAAS receiver.
This pole-mount GPS sensor has an integrated antenna housed in a rugged, waterproof design. The 12-channel receiver allows for continuous tracking of all visible satellites. And it's WAAS capable, which means it can provide position accuracy of less than 3 meters on average.
Compact Flash GPS/WAAS receiver allows your Windows Powered Pocket PC to become a portable navigation device. With 12-Channel architecture technology, the Compact Flash GPS/WAAS card can provide rapid Time-First-Fix (TIFF) under all startup conditions for fast data acquisition and reacquisition. Trimble GPS Pathfinder TM Pocket receiver is a small, rugged, cost effective GPS receiver for collecting, maintaining and using quality data. The receiver has the flexibility to operate with numerous applications and devices, enabling users to build a total field solution that meets your requirements.
