Models
R-322N, 323N, 325N and 315N all feaure Reflectorless distance measurement
in addition to Reflective Targets and Prisms. Angle accuracies are 2",
3" and 5". Detachable tribrachs are standard on all models
except the 315N which has a fixed base. Other standard features are
Laser Optical Plummet, up to 590 foot non-prism measuring, dedicated
Number Keys, Alpha key input, IPX6 waterproof, Visible Laser Dot, Auto
Focus, Power Focus and manual focusing, Automatic temperature and pressure
sensors, Dual axis compensators, dual reading of both circles and absolute
encoders. The 7,500 point data memory can store stake out coordinates
and/or collected data in any mix.
Features
- The
R-300N is the latest in the lineup of Pentax total stations. The R-300N
series improves on the highly successful R-100N series with the addition
of an extended reflectorless distance measurement (up to 180m)capability,
built-in laser plummet, electronic leveling, and full alphanumeric
keyboard. It has also retained all previous features of the R-100N
series including auto-focus, absolute-encoder, automatic atmospheric
correction, and 7,500 points of on-board data storage.
- The
R-300N series is comprised of 4 models ranging in angle measurement
accuracy of 2”, 3”, and 5”.

R-300N Series Features
| Reflectorless
EDM |
Distances
can be measured to objects (Reflectorless mode), reflective targets
(Reflector mode) or prisms (Prism mode). A single button push changes
between modes. |
| Reflectorless
Range |
The
"LONG" mode of reflectorless operation can measure up to 590 feet
under good conditions. |
| Visible
Laser Pointer |
The
EDM beam is a visible laser which shows as a red dot on the object.
The dot will always show during measurement and can be set on continuously
for use as a pointer. |
| Auto
Focus |
Precise
and quick Automatic Focus is achieved with just the push of a button.
Other auto focus functions include Continuous Auto Focus and operator
controlled Power Focus. Manual focus is always available as back
up. |
| Laser
Plummet |
The
laser plummet makes getting over the point faster and much easier.
Intesity can be adjusted, in 10 steps, to match the conditions. |
| Absolute
Encoders |
This
type of angle measuring has two primary advantages. The horizontal
reference angle will not be lost when the instrument is turned off
or when it powers down. The vertical angle does not require indexing
during start up. |
| Automatic
Atmospheric Sensors |
The
built-in atmospheric sensor measures the temperature and atmospheric
pressure in real time and initiates ppm correction automatically. |
| Graphic
Display |
The
20 character x 8 lines, dot matrix displays are fully graphic capable
and show appropriate data in picture format. Backlighting is available
for low light situations and night surveying. |
| Easy
Key Operation |
A row of soft keys change designation depending on the function
or program currently being used. Dedicated number keys can also
input Alpha. These methods keep the keyboard simple and the operation
intuitive and logical. Training time |
| Water
Protection |
This
series total station meets IPX6 water protection. This class protects
the instrument from direct jets of water from any direction. |
| Compensators |
All
models employ a dual axis compensator for corrections to both the
vertical angle and the horizontal angle |
| Quick
Sights |
Dual
collimator sights are much improved to make target sighting faster. |
| Graphic
Help |
Pushing
the [HELP] key while executing a special function, displays a general
drawing of the function with an explanation as a Help message. |
| On
Board Memory |
PSF
software uses a 7500 point on-board memory that can be used for
data collection, coordinate data storage or any combination of both. |
